          | | Totalizers
are used to perform the basic function of counting.Totalizers are
used for production piece count (day count, shift count, job count,
etc.), machine cycle count for maintenance or accounting purposes,
length measurement, position indication, etc. |
          | | Count
Controls are an extension of the basic totalizer. They are used for
controlling a process by providing an output when the count becomes
equal to a preset value. The process being controlled may be cut-tolength,
batching, filling, mixing, punching, drilling, diverting, or alarming.
Counters offered by Durant differ in size, display type, and features/functions.
Ratemeters are used in applications where it is necessary to monitor
the speed of a process. Conveyors, baking ovens, material flow, and
motor rpm are typical uses for reatemeters. Durant models with alarm
outputs can be used to detect high or low rates. Rate indicators are
often included as a standard feature on totalizers and count controls |
          | | Durant
offers both elapsed timers and multi-function time relay controls.
Elapsed timers are used to indicate machine run time for maintenance
purposes. They can start and then continue from the stop point without
resetting. An example would be an engine run timer. Timer relays and
controls are used in applications where an output is required for
control purposes after a preset amount of time has elapsed. They can
            start and/or stop a process. |
          | | Digital
Panel meters are found in any application requiring a process variable
to be displayed. Volts, current, pressure, volume, temperature, and
frequency are typical applications. Durant’s process meters
have options for both alarm outputs and serial communications. |
          | | Flow
products are used in a variety of applications where liquid or gas
flow needs to be monitored or controlled. Durant offers models specific
for flow totalization, rate, and batch control. Several optional outputs
allow great flexibility to meet most application needs. |
